More Dogs for Rehoming

Below are some of the dogs that College Garth currently have for rehoming. We do aim to keep this page as accurate as possible, not all dogs will go on here as they will be reserved quickly - please telephone us for the most up-to-date information as the dogs change daily. Telephone 01509-842327. Rescue don't breed.

You will need to pass a home check before you can have a dog, having a securely fenced garden is usually important, if you live in rented accommodation you will need a letter from your landlord stating you can have a dog.

So many Staffies in rescues! Over breeding of Staffie types is now a major problem for rescues, indiscriminate & overbreeding for cash is just pumping out too many dogs! Healthy dogs especially Staffie's are being put to sleep everyday because rescues simply have no room for them! Please consider an older dog rather than a puppy and save a life so easily lost.

Please remember many of our dogs are strays and arrive to us with no information about them, even disclaimers can be left with false information. The kennel staff assess the dogs while they are in the kennels with the help of our dog trainer and walkers. However, dogs can change so new owners need to be prepared to let their new dog settle iin slowly and be aware that they might behave differently from the kennels, they may have been abused, spoilt or just used to a very differnet way of life before you. A new home can be upsetting for some dogs who will need time to settle and trust you before their true character can come out. Accidents such as messing inside and chewing may happen and owners should not leave a new dog with expensive items untill they know they are fine to do so - prevention is always better!

MARLEY

Staffie cross dog.

Around 4 years old.

Disclaimed originally but has been in a home for a few weeks but was returned on 1/7/10.

He is a very good family dog and is great around the children.

He is a dog which can not be let off lead as he doesn't get on with all dogs. He does walk well on the lead. He needs home with high fencing and someone who is at home most the time as he prefers company, when in his new home he did poo when left in the house obviuosly because he was upset some one willing to give him time to settle & become confident with a new family will be able to get him past this problem.

He is a v loving dog who is just desperate for his own family & not have to be afraid of being abandonded again
